Equity in Aging Webinar

This webinar will examine how longer lives are reshaping opportunity, risk, and fairness—with explicit attention to demographic factors that correlate with aging outcomes.

This timely conversation brings together Surya Kolluri, Head of the TIAA Institute, and Kyle Farmbry, Visiting Research Professor in the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration at The George Washington University. Together, they will explore what “100-year lives” mean in practical terms; why traditional education–work–retirement models are breaking down; and how longevity functions as a multiplier that can widen disparities by race, income, gender, and family structure.

The discussion will address financial, cognitive, physical, and social risks over longer lives; the often-invisible burdens of caregiving across communities and generations; and the role of longevity literacy, lifetime income, and better health measurement in shaping equitable outcomes. With insights for individuals, employers, and policymakers, this webinar reframes aging to focus not just on living longer, but on advancing equity in how people prepare for and experience later life.
